Live Sound Journey
Violin & Ambient Electronics
I offer guided therapeutic music journeys that create space for deep rest and introspection. Guided relaxation, meditative ambient electronics, live violin, and contemplative poetry invite you to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with what lies beneath the noise of daily life.
90 minutes, offered as a group experience.
Format: In-person only, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The journey
How the 90 minutes unfold
You lie down, fully clothed, with a blanket. No musical background or previous experience is needed, and there is nothing you have to do — the music does the work.
The journey is informed by the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music: sound as both catalyst and container, so that imagery, memory, emotion and rest can surface in their own time.
Settling in, then breath and body awareness to ease you out of the day and into a receptive, contemplative state.
A short spoken passage carries you from the relaxation into the sound.
Live violin improvised over meditative ambient electronics, opened and closed with contemplative poetry. You may notice imagery, colour, memory or a sense of place — or simply rest deeply. Whatever comes is the right thing.
A gentle re-entry, time to reorient, and — for anyone who wants it — a few words of quiet sharing.
- About 90 minutes, usually in the evening.
- You'll be lying down, fully clothed, with a blanket. Bring anything that helps you rest.
- No musical background or previous experience needed.
- Sharing is optional. You're free to open your eyes, sit up or step out at any point.
Not group therapy or treatment for a diagnosed condition. Not hypnosis. Nothing is administered — the shift comes from relaxation and music. Not a good starting point during an acute crisis. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
